Privacy Policy
NH Child Vision Project • Effective September 24, 2026
This policy explains how information is handled when you use nhchildvision.org, register for an account, or participate in its community.
Information you provide
Registration collects your name, username, email address, participant category, and any school or organization you choose to provide. We also process account credentials, profile changes, and messages or discussions you submit. When you register, we store the full name you enter to confirm agreement, the acceptance date and time, the policy version, and the agreement statement with your account. Website administrators can review this record. Please provide only information needed for your use of the website.
How information is used
Account information supports registration, sign-in, password resets, member features, administration, and responses to account requests. Community submissions enable members to exchange resources and information. Technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, and access logs may be processed by the website, hosting, and security services to operate and protect the site.
Community visibility and children’s information
Shared conversations are visible to other signed-in members. Members may copy or redistribute what they see, so do not treat community areas as confidential. Do not post children’s names, identifying photographs, medical records, or other private patient information in community messages or discussions.
Community accounts are intended for adults, including parents, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals. Children should use educational resources with adult guidance and should not register or submit personal information. If a child has submitted personal information, contact the site administrator to request its review and removal.
Screening and referral forms
Patient screening and referral workflows are separate from community conversations. Review the instructions and any specific privacy or consent notice provided with the relevant form before submitting patient information. This website policy does not replace a healthcare provider’s notice of privacy practices, permission for treatment, or authorization to disclose health information.
Service providers and disclosures
Website administrators can access account information for administration and support. Hosting, email-delivery, and security services process information necessary to provide their functions. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate misuse and protect the website or its users.
Cookies and third-party resources
WordPress uses cookies for features such as sign-in, session management, and user preferences. Your browser settings allow you to restrict or delete cookies; blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in and other account features from working. The cookie popup offers Accept all, Reject optional, and Customize. Use Cookie settings near the footer to change your choices. Preferences are saved in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days and do not automatically apply to other browsers or devices. External iframe embeds and supported optional analytics scripts are held until their category is allowed. Revoking permission prevents subsequent loading but cannot undo information already received by an external provider.
External links take you to services with their own privacy policies. Embedded content, where present, may allow its provider to receive your IP address and browser information or use cookies. This policy does not control those third-party services.
Retention and your choices
Account and community information is stored in the website’s systems. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting the site administrator through your existing account-related correspondence. Identify the account and request without including patient records or passwords. Identity verification may be needed. Some information may remain in backups or be retained for security, administrative, or legal reasons; deleting an account does not necessarily delete copies of posts saved by others.
Security
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private and use a unique password. Do not use community areas for confidential clinical communication or emergencies.
Changes and questions
Updates will appear on this page with a revised effective date. Direct privacy questions to the site administrator through your account-related correspondence.
